After Golmaal, Ajay Devgn To Do Total Dhamaal

Ajay Devgn is currently the most busiest actor in the Bollywood with around dozens of movies lined up. He has already released two movies in this year, Baadshaho and Golmaal Again. Interestingly both the movies were released in a very short gap of just 50 days. While Baadshaho ended up as a average grosser, Golmaal Again is doing wonders at the box-office. The film, released on Oct 20th, has already grossed over 250 crs worldwide in just 10 days. Golmaal Again has become the highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2017 as well as Ajay’s career biggest hit.

Now, Ajay Devgn is all set to make the audience laugh once again. He will be seen in the third installment of popular film franchise Dhamaal, titled Total Dhamaal. Yes, you read that right. Indra Kumar, the director of Dhamaal, has reportedly narrated the concept to Ajay Devgn and the actor liked it very much and immediately gave his nod for the film. Total Dhamaal was announced in 2014 but the project didn’t get materialize due to some unknown reasons. Now the makers have finalized all the things and the project will kick-start earlier next year. Even Arshad Warsi has also confirmed during the promotions of Golmaal Again that Ajay Devgn is doing Total Dhamaal and they will start the shooting by the starting of 2018. The latest buzz also suggests that Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit are also in talks for the film.

Dhamaal, the first installment of this franchise, was released in 2007 and starred Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaffery and Aashish Choudhary in the key roles. It was declared a superhit at the box-office. The second installment, Double Dhamaal was released in 2011 and some new additions like Mallika Sherawat and Kangana Ranaut were made in the cast. The film didn’t get much appreciation from the audience, however it was a box-office success.

Ajay Devgn is currently shooting for his next movie ‘Raid’ under the direction of Raj Kumar Gupta. The film is based on high profile Income Tax Raid and Ileana D’Cruz is playing the female lead. Raid will hit screens on March 26th 2018.
